When the recently widowed property owner of FluidTech’s Lenexa,KS location needed a trusted contractor for a re-roof of her industrial facility, she reached out to her construction contacts for a referral. She was directed to Fleming Steel Erectors to handle the 41,000-square-foot project.
As is typical for FSE, crews were determined to ensure the re-roofing work was done right the first time, despite the project’s completion during one of the harshest winters in recent years. FSE implemented a Butler High Profile Metal-Over-Metal (HPMOM) re-roofing system with custom-made roof curbs to ensure a watertight seal around rooftop units and a large entryway skylight. All work was completed on-time, without scheduling interruptions or safety incidents, and despite on-going shipping and materials delays related to the Covid-19 pandemic. FSE was even able to assist the owner in understanding tax benefits that had previously been unknown to her.
