Built in 1977 by Fleming Construction, Woodyard Properties’ industrial building at the Port of Catoosa still had its original roofing system in 2021. With the nearly 45-year-old roof finally in need of modernization, Woodyard, again, called on Fleming to upgrade the building’s roof, wall insulation, and general aesthetic.
Fleming replaced the original flat roof with the Butler MR-24® sloped roofing system, added insulation to the roof and exterior walls, and updated the building’s trim. Along with the practical implications of better drainage and improved energy efficiency, the industrial building now has a completely modernized appearance, all built upon Fleming’s original, sturdy construction. As a bonus, the overhaul of the facility was completed on-time and within budget, while the tenants remained fully operational.
“If you want proof that Fleming buildings are built to last, look no further than the Port of Catoosa. This decades old building finally needed a re-roof after forty-five years, and now it’s ready for another forty-five years of service. If that’s not a testament to our long-standing commitment to quality, I don’t know what is.”
