In spring of 2020, we began assembly on a 255K square foot reefer trailer manufacturing plant in Monon, Indiana. Its design includes a 32’ eave and 8 bridge cranes.
By assembling the modules on the ground, we eliminated 50% of the higher-risk elevated work. This method is both faster and safer. After the modules were assembled, two cranes lifted them into position.
The FSE crew, in collaboration with JM Williams Contractors, worked through heavy spring rains and the Covid-19 pandemic to get the job done on stated timelines, safely and with no incidents.
“The Vanguard Trailer plant is a great example of how well FSE works under pressure and extenuating circumstances. The dual unexpected challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic and heavy spring rains tested our crews’ ability to stay focused and stay safe, but they rose to the occasion and passed the test with flying colors. We are proud of this project because it demonstrates our capacity for team work and success despite unexpected adversities.”
