FLEMING STEEL ERECTORS HELPS SAM’S FURNITURE OUTLET EXPAND—WHILE REMAINING OPEN FOR BUSINESS

Arizona retailer, Sam’s Furniture Outlet, was looking to expand one of their Tucson facilities with an 81,458 square foot addition. Construction on the expansion, a PEMB featuring a 40 foot eave height, interior column spacing, insulated metal wall panels (IMP) and a standing seam metal roof was complicated by a skewed end wall and valley gutter between the addition and the existing structure. In addition to the site challenges, the expansion needed to be completed without interruption to daily operations at the existing facility. 

FSE provided the structural steel erection and roofing services for the new addition. For the standing seam metal roof, FSE employed Butler’s® Sky-Web fall protection system to ensure worker safety and support the R-30 roof insulation. Crews worked through all the site challenges to complete the project on time, and meet all deadlines, incurring no citations or delays, and the company was able to remain open for customers during the entire construction process, minimizing sales revenue losses.
