Working through a severe Reno, Nevada winter on the first collaboration with general contractor, OS Construction, Fleming Steel Erectors provided steel erection services for Pacific Steel’s new manufacturing facility. Though concrete shortages throughout the Western U.S. delayed the project initially, FSE was able to successfully manage timelines to complete construction safely and quickly, without any budget overages, once the materials were available.
This structure, along with others to come, will help alleviate the ongoing impacts to the steel industry’s supply chain that were initially triggered by the Covid-19 pandemic. The facility incorporates modern design and architectural elements, making it a pleasant environment for workers and visitors, while extensive use of insulation makes it highly efficient, which will help to mitigate energy costs in Reno’s cold climate.
